Syqei is in its early stage, and this website is a way to share what we are building and to let people register interest in our first projects. This policy covers what we collect through this website today. It will be expanded before any projects run, since taking part in a project involves more information and consent, especially for participants under 18.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Syqei ("Syqei," "we," "our," "us") collects, uses, and discloses information obtained through our website located at syqei.com (the "Site"). By visiting the Site and registering your interest, you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy.

1. What Information We Collect

Registering interest. If you register your interest through the Site, we collect the email address you provide and, if you choose to share it, the option you select describing what brings you here, for example that you would like to join a project, or that you represent an organisation. That is currently the only information this Site collects directly from you.

Basic Site usage information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs standard technical information such as browser type, general device information, and approximate location derived from IP address, for security and performance purposes.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this Site, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are located. This is collected in aggregate to help us improve, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. Google processes this information on our behalf, and you can read how at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would prefer not to be measured, most browsers let you block analytics scripts.

To contact you about Syqei's first projects and when spots or opportunities become available
To follow up with organisations who want to bring, fund, or partner on a project
To understand how many people are interested in Syqei, in aggregate. We do not build individual profiles from this Site's data

We do not sell your email address, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Submissions are stored and processed through Netlify's form handling service. We take reasonable technical measures to protect this information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100 percent secure.

4. Your Choices

You can ask us to remove your details at any time by emailing hello@syqei.com. We will action this within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Young People & Safeguarding

Syqei is designed for high school students aged 14 to 18, as well as parents, schools and partner organisations.

We currently collect only the email address voluntarily entered into our update form. If you are under 15, please ask a parent or carer to complete the signup with you or use their email address.

We do not ask for your school, home address, exact location, date of birth or photographs through this website.

Many young people take part through their school or another organisation, who arrange it alongside a parent or guardian. Taking part in an actual project is separate from registering interest on this Site. Before any young person joins a project, we will put appropriate safeguarding measures in place, including parental or guardian consent for minors, and clear policies on supervision, conduct and data, and this Policy will be updated to reflect them. If you believe a child under 15 has provided us with information through this Site, please contact us and we will remove it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as Syqei evolves, including a fuller update before projects begin. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
