Syqei is currently in early access / waitlist stage. This policy covers what we collect through this website today. It will be expanded and re-published before the Syqei app itself launches, since the app will collect additional information (like location and photos) that this website does not.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Syqei ("Syqei," "we," "our," "us") collects, uses, and discloses information obtained through our website located at syqei.com (the "Site"). By visiting the Site and joining our waitlist, you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy.

1. What Information We Collect

Waitlist sign-up. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. That's currently the only information this Site collects directly from you.

Basic Site usage information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs standard technical information such as browser type, general device information, and approximate location derived from IP address, for security and performance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To notify you when Syqei is available for early access
To run our waitlist prize draw (if you've entered one), including contacting the winner
To understand how many people are interested in Syqei, in aggregate — we don't build individual profiles from this Site's data

We do not sell your email address, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Waitlist submissions are stored and processed through Netlify's form-handling service. We take reasonable technical measures to protect this information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Your Choices

You can ask us to remove your email from our waitlist at any time by emailing hello@syqei.com. We'll action this within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

6. Future App Data (Coming Later)

Once the Syqei app launches, this Policy will be updated to reflect additional data types the app will collect in order to work — including approximate or precise location (to verify visits to real places), and any photos or notes you choose to attach to a memory. Our current design commitments, which will carry into that update, are:

Location data defaults to coarse and private — exact location logs are never made public unless you explicitly opt in
Photos and notes you attach to a memory are private by default
We will never sell your personal data

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as Syqei evolves. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
